Your pond and shoreline should be usable again.
Ponds and lake shorelines both. We run a harvester across the water and physically pull the weeds, lily pads, algae mats, muck, and shoreline growth out. No herbicides, no waiting period, no dead vegetation left to sink.
Or fill out the form below for a full site assessment.
Weeds, algae, muck, and shoreline growth have taken over — and spraying alone is not the cleanup you wanted.
Most pond and lakefront owners spend every season fighting the same mess: weeds in the water, growth on the banks, blocked docks, and shorelines they can barely use.
"We can't swim in it anymore."
Lily pads, submerged weeds, and shoreline growth have taken over the usable areas. The water and bank both feel neglected.
"I can't cast without snagging weeds."
Every cast ends up tangled, and the bank is so grown in that getting to the water is half the problem.
"We've tried chemicals twice. They came back."
Spraying may knock growth back, but it can still leave dead vegetation, muck, blocked access, and an ugly shoreline behind.
"The dock is completely blocked."
The dock, bank, or launch area is blocked. Cattails, grass, lily pads, or mats have taken over the shoreline.
What we actually do, on the water.
No spraying, no guessing. Here is the job itself, start to finish.
We put a harvester on the water
Our aquatic weed harvester goes in from a ramp, a firm bank, or whatever workable access point the property has, and works from the surface. Farm pond, lake shoreline, or river bank, the approach is the same and nothing is sprayed into the water at any point.
Cutting and raking heads pull the growth out
Lily pads, milfoil, cattails, floating mats, and root material get cut and raked up out of the water rather than left to die off and sink. That is the difference between a cleanup and a treatment.
Each load comes back to shore
The harvester carries full loads to a staging point on the bank and offloads there. We work out of one staging area wherever the site allows, so the rest of the property stays out of it.
Banks and edges get cleared from land
Where the shoreline itself is the problem, we cut and pull bank growth back from land so the dock, the ramp, the swim area, or the fishing spot is genuinely reachable again.
The material is staged, composted, or hauled off
Everything we pull out is handled the way we agreed in the quote. Staged on-site to dry, composted where that makes sense, or loaded up and taken away. You will know which before we start.
What we won't tell you: that one visit fixes it forever. A pond or a shoreline is a living system, and growth comes back with sunlight, nutrients, and runoff. What physical removal gives you is a real reset and a much easier starting point than a shoreline full of dead, sunken vegetation.
Getting started is three steps.
Most people go from first call to a quote in the same week.
Tell us about the water
Text us a photo, call, or fill out the form. We pull up satellite imagery before we ever drive out, so we can tell you quickly whether we are the right fit.
Free on-site visit
We walk the water, the shoreline, and the access, look at what is growing and how thick it is, sort out disposal, and give you a clear quote.
We clear it. You use it.
We do the work, remove the agreed material, and hand back water and shoreline you can actually get to. Many smaller jobs finish in a day.
Cleaner water, cleaner banks, and usable access again.
Water and shoreline you can actually use
Fish, launch a kayak, reach the dock, walk the bank, and use the areas that were blocked by weeds or shoreline growth.
Physical removal — not just surface treatment
When conditions allow, we pull vegetation, mats, muck, and shoreline growth out instead of leaving the mess to sink, rot, or keep blocking access.
A better starting point for maintenance
Physical removal can create a visible reset. Long-term results depend on pond depth, nutrients, sunlight, runoff, shoreline conditions, and seasonality.
No herbicide waiting period
Because we are not applying herbicides, there is no chemical re-entry window from our service.
Removal and disposal discussed upfront
Removed vegetation can be staged on-site, composted where appropriate, or hauled away if included in the quote.
Why spraying alone often does not fix the pond or the shoreline.
Chemical treatments may reduce growth, but they do not physically remove mats, muck, dead vegetation, blocked docks, or overgrown banks.
Treats growth. Leaves cleanup behind.
- Dead vegetation can sink and add more organic material
- Visible mats, muck, and shoreline debris may still need removal
- Multiple treatments may be needed during the season
- Some treatments may involve use restrictions
- Does not always solve access, appearance, or bank problems
Physically removes the mess from the water and shoreline.
- Vegetation, mats, muck, and shoreline growth are physically removed where access allows
- Removed material is handled based on the quote and site conditions
- Creates a visible reset instead of only treating symptoms
- No herbicide re-entry window from our service
- No herbicides applied by Green Pond Cleaning
Every job is a little different. Here's where we specialize.
Pond & Shoreline Cleanouts
One-time clearing for ponds, lake shorelines, and river banks that are visibly overgrown. We remove lily pads, algae mats, floating vegetation, muck, cattails, bank growth, and shoreline debris where access and conditions allow.
Dock, Bank & Swim Area Access
Targeted clearing around docks, swim platforms, boat launches, shallow banks, fishing spots, and shoreline access points blocked by weeds or overgrowth.
HOA & Stormwater Ponds
Cleanup support for HOA retention ponds, entrance ponds, common-area water features, shorelines, and banks that turn into homeowner complaints during the growing season.
Seasonal Maintenance Plans
For clients who want to stay ahead of pond and shoreline growth. Scheduled visits can help keep vegetation from taking over again during the growing season.
We'll tell you straight if we're the right fit.
We'd rather you know upfront than waste your time on a site visit.
Good fit
Probably not a fit
Residential, HOA, farm, and lakefront cleanup — especially the ugly edges.
We focus on practical physical cleanup for private ponds, HOA ponds, lakefront access areas, river frontage, banks, docks, and shorelines where the visible mess needs to be removed.
Homeowners
Private ponds, farm ponds, fishing ponds, and residential shorelines with visible weeds, mats, muck, or bank growth.
Lakefront Property Owners
Lake Wylie shoreline, dock access, swimming areas, shallow banks, and waterfront edges blocked by vegetation.
HOAs & Communities
Stormwater pond cleanup, common-area pond appearance, shoreline cleanup, and recurring maintenance options for communities.
What a mechanical harvester does to water like yours.
This is the manufacturer's demo of the class of machine we run, not one of our own jobs. It is the clearest look at how cutting and raking pulls growth out of the water. For our work, see the photos below.

Recent work, straight off the job.
Real ponds, real shorelines, real piles of what came out of them.
What most people ask before booking.
Many smaller residential cleanups can be completed in a day, but timing depends on pond size, shoreline length, access, vegetation thickness, disposal needs, and weather. We will be direct once we see the pond and access.
Removed vegetation can be staged on-site, composted where appropriate, or hauled away if that is included in the quote. Disposal expectations are discussed before the job.
Honestly — eventually, yes. Ponds and shorelines are living systems. New growth can return from sunlight, nutrients, runoff, birds, wind, and seasonal conditions. Physical removal can create a visible reset, but ongoing maintenance may still be needed.
Cleanup pricing starts at $1,500*. Final pricing depends on pond size, shoreline length, access, vegetation thickness, disposal needs, travel distance, and whether the job is a half-day, full-day, or multi-day cleanup. Text photos for the fastest ballpark quote.
*Starting price applies to smaller, accessible cleanup jobs within our normal service area. Heavy vegetation, difficult access, long shorelines, haul-off, or extended travel may increase the price.
We do not apply herbicides as part of our physical removal service, so there is no herbicide waiting period from us. We still ask customers to use normal caution around freshly disturbed water, equipment areas, banks, and staged vegetation. We are fully insured, and we are happy to send a certificate of insurance before we book, which HOA boards and property managers usually want on file.
Tight access may be workable, but it depends on the site. We look at shoreline access, launch options, shallow areas, docks, banks, overhead obstacles, and staging areas before confirming the job.
Yes. For clients who want to stay ahead of growth, we offer seasonal visit plans. Rather than letting weeds fully establish before you call us, we come out on a schedule so the water and the bank stay usable year-round.
Tell us about your pond or shoreline. We'll tell you what it'll take.
We review satellite imagery before visiting, so we come prepared. Most people hear back within a few hours.
